What is Archie?
Archie is an AI-powered social media content repurposing tool built by Agorapulse.. I’ve been testing it for a while. I have to say I really like it a lot. So let’s dive in. You can try it out for free for 30 days here
Okay, so this is the dashboard, and what we’re looking for down here is Archie.
The different with Archie is setting up a PLAYBOOK specifically for your brand.customer/client so that the tool understands you, your brand voice, and starts from there.
Setting up your Playbook
Setting Up Your Brand Playbook
A playbook means that you are working off of your brand, your voice, and your goal, and it keeps all of the content aligned.
With this tool, you can add resources and even point it directly at your own website to help create the playbook.
Creating Content from one pillar piece of your own content
To create the YouTube tutorial above, I took my weeklly LinkedIn newsletter and used Archie to create multiple posts for my LinkedIn company page. I do not usually also post this content to other platforms, so in the tutorial, I only post to LinkedIn. But you could easily post across your own social media!
How I turned one LinkedIn newsletter into six posts with Archie
- Start with something you have already created.
I used my Sunday LinkedIn newsletter. This is important because I don’t want AI coming up with my expertise for me. I want to start with my own original content and then use AI to help me get more from it. - Add your content as a source.
In Archie, click Add → Add URL, paste in the link to your article, newsletter or other piece of content and let Archie analyse it.
Archie then will create IDEAS for your content before it starts to draft anything – you are in control of the focus.
3. Look through the ideas Archie finds.
Once it has analysed your source, Archie starts pulling out different ideas you could turn into social content. Mine came back with five different angles from the original newsletter.
4. Choose the ideas you actually want to talk about.
You don’t have to use everything it suggests. I chose the topics that were most relevant for my LinkedIn Company Page, including the new LinkedIn feed and changes to first-level connection reach.
5. Decide how many posts you want from each idea.
I wanted to explore some of the topics more than once, so I asked Archie for two posts from a couple of the angles. That gave me six drafts in total from one newsletter.
6. Choose which social account the content is for.
I was creating this content specifically for my company LinkedIn page, so I selected that account. This also means Archie is using the Playbook I created for my company brand rather than treating everything as my personal content.
7. Generate your drafts.
Archie then creates the posts for you. I went through each one to check it, make sure I was happy with what it was saying and edit anything I wanted to change.
Creating Images to go with your content
- Add an image if you want one.
You can upload your own image or open Image Studio and generate one. I selected a visual hook with text and image, gave it one of my existing blue and yellow graphics as a style reference, chose Bold Editorial, and asked it to create something suitable for LinkedIn. - Review everything before it goes anywhere.
This is still an important part of the process for me. I want to check the wording, the idea and the image rather than simply asking AI to create six posts and automatically publishing them. - Schedule the posts.
Once I was happy, I moved into the scheduling section. I chose to post around three times a week for my Company Page and asked Agorapulse to compute the best times. I could then move individual posts around the calendar if I already had other content scheduled.
Schedule everything and you’re done.
The posts are now sitting in Agorapulse ready to go out. Once they are published, I can also use the Agorapulse inbox to see the comments and engage with people from there.
I created the original content. Archie helped me get more from it.
Instead of writing a newsletter on Sunday and then starting from scratch again on Monday morning, I can take the work I have already done and turn it into content for somewhere else.
Create once, publish everywhere. In action!
